In 2025, The Art Hotel Curaçao, commissioned me to design a ceiling installation for their lobby.

The Art Hotel is a unique adults-only luxury oasis located in the historic Pietermaai distric, designed by the renowned Dutch design studio Studio Piet Boon, collaborating with local architect Cas Albers and blends contemporary design with local art.

The installation features 59 handcrafted glazed stoneware pieces, each unique in form. As the trade winds flow through, they stir to life, creating a delicate dance.

The inspiration for this installation comes from the beautiful Curacao orchid and a shell shape. By combining these two the ‘Orchid shell’ arose, executed in the colors sand and turquoise as a reference to the Caribbean Sea.
